I may have the coolest job in the world.

I work at Amazon.com as the Technical Evangelist for the Amazon Web Services, also known as AWS. I run the Developer Relations Group; I am responsible for all of the activities which “touch” developers in some way. This includes:

  • Speaking at conferences and trade shows.
  • Supporting developers on the discussion board.
  • Preparing the SDK (documentation and code samples).
  • Working with strategic partners.
  • Working with lots of individual developers.
  • Talking to the press

The goal, of course, is to get as many developers signed up and productive with the service as possible. I’ll have a lot more to say about this in the coming weeks and months.
