CastBlaster Beta is now Ready

less than 1 minute read

If you’ve been following the Daily Source Code for the past couple of months, you’ve probably heard about the CastBlaster already. Adam and crew have been developing an easy-to-use, task-specific tool for creating, annotating, and publishing podcasts. The beta version is free, and will record for up to 10 minutes.

The beta is now available and you can get it here.

The UI is simple and functional.:

CastBlaster

Simply start it up, hit Record, and start talking. The grid of buttons on the left are used to insert various sound clips (I think that the pros call these bumpers). When done, hit Stop, and then hop over to the Describe and Publish tabs to enter some metadata and to push the finished podcast to a server using FTP.

Now I just need something to say, and I am all set.
