Not Done Yet
I don’t want to turn this into a medical history blog, but here’s the latest on my adventures with the kidney stone.
I went to the urologist yesterday for my follow-up visit. He sent me down for an X-Ray, and when I returned with the film he said “let’s take a look at this together.” The stone was still there, still the same shape.
Now I have to go to Virginia Mason hospital in Seattle, where they have an even more powerful ESWL device. Apparently this is an older and larger device, with a room full of hardware behind it. I am scheduled to have this procedure on Monday afternoon. In the meantime I am drinking lots of water.
I had been planning to fly to Japan next week to speak at WWW 2005, but this is off the table now. Oh well.
