Mount Rainier from the Air
On a clear day, Mount Rainier dominates the skyline south of Seattle. While flying from Salt Lake City to Seattle today, I was lucky enough to be sitting on the left side when the plane passed within a couple of miles of the mountain. I grabbed my camera and spent several minutes taking pictures. Here are some of the best shots:

What you can’t really see from these pictures is how big the mountain really is. While driving around certain parts of the city, you’ll take a turn and suddenly, the mountain will appear to be right in front of you, even though it is over 100 miles away.
